Well Welcome back to the Design Series of blitZ. We already learnt and known about the Front Wheel Drive and Rear Wheel Drive. So, today we will discuss about the part Transfer Box.
Transfer Box is the small type gear box where the power from gear box is transferring to the rear wheel and front wheels with the help of shafts connected between them.
This box plays the main role in four wheel drive Vehicles. Coming or the explanation of the Assembly. The box having two double helical gears ( telling about our design ) with the gear ratio. As our blitZ is an electric four wheel drive Vehicle.
Here the big gear is connected to the rear wheel and front wheel using hook joints along with shafts. And the gear box shaft also connected to the transfer Box as shown in the figure.
We have different types of transfer box also :
- Gear-driven type transfer box
- Chain-driven type transfer box
- Housing type transfer box
- Transfer case shift type.
Here we designed gear driven transfer box with two gears. And i noted about double helical gear, where it looks like as shown in the given figure. Double helical gears are used for produce high torque. Mostly these gears are use in heavy vehicles. Like Cranes.
