Today the topic of the series is Front Wheel Drive. It is same as Rear Wheel Drive but the working and Assembly are different. Because in front wheel drive, the wheels need to turn while taking turns with steering wheel. Let's get into the topic
What is Front Wheel Drive?
Front wheel drive is also the axle where move the wheels of vehicle from the engine shaft as like the rear Wheel Drive.
Working of front wheel drive
The front wheel drive is assembled as same like rear wheel drive like having Differential and pinion gear, but it is having two hook joints between wheel hubs and shafts. Where this hook joints are used to transfer the force without any loss to the wheels from shafts. This joint is used because the front wheels need to guide the rear wheel to take turns.

Front Wheel Drive
As you seen in the video, the wheels are in angular position respected to the axle. And the wheels are rotating at same speed ( right and left).
You already know for Differential shaft should be straight. So we can't make angular shafts for taking turns. To avoid this hook joints are used. And the remaining mechanism is works as same rear wheel drive.
And for mini cars, front wheel Drive system is only using now. And for the remaining are rear wheel drive. Only some of the model cars are having Four wheel drive or All wheel drive. Like customized vehicles. And for Heavy Automobiles.
