Types of Transmission In Bikes

Hey Guys, welcome back to your page. Actually i got delay due to the health issues, i will upload about the front wheel drive system with files. To cover up the time, i got a topic about transmission. It is not the general topic, it is going to relate to the future post which i am going to post here. Coming to the topic

What is transmission? Everyone knows this, but it is important to know

Transmission is the system or process or method to transfer the energy or force from one place to another place.

And it is using in everywhere and every application, but our application is about Automobiles. Two wheeler's or bikes are also running with specific speed depends of the transmission only.

Well presently we are seeing the Chain transmission system and Belt transmission system. But while going deep ( not that much deep) Differential or Shaft transmission system also exists. But it gone failed due to the heavy weight of bike and causes to heavy losses.

Chain TransmissionChain drive is a type of mechanical power transmission system that uses chains to transfer power from one place to another. A conventional chain drive consists of two or more sprockets and the chain itself. The holes in the chain links fit over the sprocket teeth.

Here i designed the chain transmission, but the animation is not working in Onshape, but it will in other CAD Software's. You can download  the files and export into your CAD Software.

Belt Transmission : In belt drives, power is transmitted between at least two pulleys by a belt. One pulley drives the belt (driving pulley) and the other pulley is driven by the belt (driven pulley). In belt drives, the speed is often reduced, so that in these cases the smaller of the two pulleys is the driving pulley.

Shaft TransmissionIn a shaft-driven system, a shaft connects a gear inside the gearbox to another gear inside a hub on the rear wheel. When the engine is sparked, power is transferred along the chain or shaft to the rear wheel, and the bike moves forward.

Compare of three systems, Chain and Belt are maintaining the good results than shaft drive.

But i had tried the shaft transmission system with different concept feature. I will explain it clearly with free files also.
