How Train works ? | Electric Locomotive Engine

Hi Guys. How are you all? Hope you all doing great. A welcome to new year 2023. Hope you will have a great time in this year. Sorry for the delay guys. I had joined the classes for learning the software for job. But still my passion will not stop guys. without any delays, lets get into the topic

Is about the How Train Works ? Many of you already know about this but i made a clear explanation with the model as well as with the animation. I Designed a locomotive with the new look design where looks like stylish as well as following the physical laws. You can see the looks of the cad model below.

we know how the railway transport is crucial in our present time, even though from the past. Railway is the 2nd largest goods transport in the world. For real, government will get more  income from the goods transport than the passenger transport railway. For more information  you can read here.

How it works ?

From the basic details, do you know guys? the railway line always in same angle from the ground which means, like the tracks should be in same angle of position with every connection of track. It do not have any up and downs like the roads. Because we know train is heavy load carrier vehicle, it can pull tons of load. so, if it has any irregular path, it will be hard to pull for train. And another example is  about the wheels of it. The wheels of train is made of cast iron means of metal wheels, so there will be a skid definately to move from forward on track.

Why do they don't use tires ?

The reason behind it is, the same of heavy load vehicle, if we attach tires to the wheels of train, there will be skid from the track path due its material. And it will tear down so it will be waste of it adding the tires. The metal wheels are enough, therefore the load can make friction to move of the track.

The train is also moves with speed minimum of 100km/hr. It is very hard for tracks to handle that much speed of train. That's the reason why the rock pieces are added under the track, where they will absorb the speed of train. You cant see with the naked eye, but you can feel the vibrations if you stand some distance, but don't try this. i just said it for example.

Now get into train. we have three models are Steam Engine, Diesel Engine and Electric Train. Present world is running on electric trains only & somewhere diesel engines. My Model is a electric engine train which it have four DC Motors for every wheel shaft connected with a gear box of single relation.

The parts of the train in this model are 4 dc motors, 8 wheels, 4 shafts, body, pantograph, brake disc and hydraulic brakes

The power transfers from the powerline using the pantograph ( normal call as antenna ) to the inside transformers. The transformers will convert AC current to DC current, Then the required power is transfer to the DC motors where they will rotate the wheels to move the train.

Watch the video here :

It is very hard to move the wheels directly, that's why the gear box is attached. There fore it is easy for the power the wheels. Here the four motors works together to move the train which means it is a high voltage of power transmission. To stop the train, the hydraulic brakes are used as shown in the video, where it has brake shoes that will hold the disc, there fore, the wheels come to rest. In this way the locomotive will works by mechanically.

And the power inside the passenger coach is generated from the generator which is fixed under the coach wheels. This is the design behind the trains and locomotive separately.

I hope you like my model and understanding the information what i wanted to share. And please do like and subscribe our channel if it worth. Thank You.
