Well lets come into our world topic is about the Concept car by "Hyperion" company. You can see the stylish looks of the car design and shapes. It looks extraordinary. And you know what ? it is powered by HYDROGEN. Yes ! Hyperion is focused on sustainable energy to market for a better future. It is developing the hydrogen powered automobiles in the industry. Constantine Angelo Kafantaris is the CEO and founder of this company. It was founded in 2011 in Columbus. About Company.
This Car name is XP-1 Hydrogen Electric Hyper Car. The special features of the car is it will run on both electricity as well as with hydrogen also. The car specifications can read here. This company is used the NASA & DOE technologies to make this car successful. They developed the hydrogen engine XP-1 to make this car run faster, smoother and excellent durability. It can store more fuel in the tank which was developed with NASA technology.
How does it works ?
The company is using the fuel cell technology to bring into existence. As we already hear that hydrogen will play the key role as a fuel for mobility as well as the other applications. A fuel cell uses the chemical energy of hydrogen or other fuels to cleanly and efficiently produce electricity. If hydrogen is the fuel, the only products are electricity, water, and heat. As the same process is using in this car to run on the road. It will release the water vapour from the exhaust instead of carbon gas. So this is eco friendly as well as it gives the more efficiency than the batteries. This company utilizes this and used the less space for more storage for fuel.

How does the fuel cell works ?
As defined above the the chemical energy converted to electrical energy. In technical view point, the hydrogen is reacts with the oxygen which is available in our atmosphere. But this process takes time so the catalyst is needed to done the process faster and produce the heat and electricity and output as water. But the ion state of molecules are needed, where anode and cathode are used for this process. Read here more. For simple understanding, it is like a heating process that hydrogen and oxygen get mixed to produce the water, where in this mean process electricity is produced.
And how this fuel cell is using in the cars ?
Is that, when the reaction process is done, the electricity which was produced will be stored in the batteries, therefore the electric motors will use this battery power to run the car. This is faster and efficient process where you do not need to wait until the car charges or battery dries up. You do not need to recharge the batteries until the hydrogen fuel is there, where this also you do not need to fill regularly. This is the most advantages of using the fuel cell technology.
The main problem of this hydrogen cars are, hydrogen fuel is expensive than other fuels because of its extraction process. For hydrogen we have many methods, but we have water as the renewable source which is combination of hydrogen and oxygen. To extract hydrogen from water, the electrolysis process is using. This process is expensive because, we need a salt and electricity to break the bong of hydrogen and oxygen. read here about electrolysis.
