Gear Box Design of Commercial Vehicle || Scross || Onshape Design

Hey My Guys. How are you doing?. Seems like you didn't yet read my previous post about Delhi ?

Then why waiting go and know, what's the matter with Delhi from world point of view here.

I am coming to the topic is about the Gear Box design which was used in SCross Commercial Vehicle. Well you already know about the vehicle mechanism and about the single wheel Steering system. 

The explanation of this design is quite simple to understand.

While watching the gear box design, if you are aware you will definitely find out, the gear box that might u seen somewhere or else for new readers i will explain the matter in detail.

SCorss is a commerce vehicle so it needs power gear box system which needs good torque and speed also. And another feature of this vehicle is about to carry the extra load as like the mini trucks as i said in earlier post. 

As you can understand the gear box that contains two motors and 9 helical gears with the desired ratio. And the gear box is directly connected to the rear wheels of two output shafts. These two output shafts having four wheels. 

Working

Here the two motors are going to engage with the gear box connected as shown to spin the wheels. The power of the motor needs in high as like a mini truck. The rear wheel assembly is connected to the hubs. These hubs having individual suspension springs as which gives comfortable ride to the passenger. You can see the suspension animation in the video itself. The four wheels rotate at same time with same speed therefore the power is enough to move the vehicle in required speed. 

Finally this kind of gear box are observed in toy cars, like four wheel drive cars as you can see here the picture.

This type of gear design will give high torque as well as speed also because of helical Gears, where slip will be more.
